Who is Jesus? “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful,” (John 15:1-2). I’ve learned that some of the sweetest relationships in life don’t happen because two people…
Who is Jesus? “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: ‘The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel’ (which means “God with us”), (Matthew 1:22-23). Have you ever had moments in your life when you just feel completely alone…unseen, forgotten, unimportant, unwanted?…
Who is Jesus? “The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all…
Who is Jesus? “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who…
Who is Jesus? “For in Scripture it says: ‘See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame,’” (1 Peter 2:6). Some days feel steady and secure. Others can feel uncertain, like the ground beneath us is shifting. Plans don’t unfold…

I don’t like that saying because I feel like promises should be kept or you shouldn’t make them in the first place. I’m no…
Who is Jesus? “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace,” (Isaiah 9:6). My heart was heavy the evening I typed these words. I was lying next to my ill child and…
Who is Jesus? “Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty,’” (John 6:35). Sometimes, on weekend mornings when I’m home alone, I find myself sitting at the table, coffee growing cold in my cup for the third time (if you know…
Who is Jesus? “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight,” (Proverbs 3:5-6). There are seasons in our lives when the path ahead feels unclear. We carry responsibilities, relationships, unanswered prayers, and quiet fears…
Who is Jesus? “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me,” (John 10:14). Life today is loud and busy. The buzz of notifications, our hectic schedules, the flooding of our feeds with opinions about what we should be doing, how we should think, or who we should be is…
